Does it Hurt?

If you don’t see the information you’re looking for here, please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have about my work or the tattoo process in general!

Q. How do I book an appointment?

A. Email me at kmh.teague@gmail.com with a clear description of your idea including size, placement, style, and budget if you have one. If I approve your idea I will send you a link to my calendar and you will be able to make an appointment whenever works for you!

Q. How much does a tattoo from you cost?

A. I have an $80 minimum, and I charge around $150/hr. This works out to be about $250 for something hand-sized depending on the detail and placement. Something like a full thigh piece might take two sessions and be around $600. Full sleeve, somewhere around $1,200 total. These are ballpark estimates, but hopefully helpful to give you some idea of what to save up for your tattoo!

Q. What’s your deposit policy?

A. I take a $50 deposit for every appointment. This will come off the total price of your tattoo. The deposit is non-refundable, but if you need to re-schedule I will still honor it.

Q. Where are you located?

A. I have a small private studio at The Yards in the Rochester Public market. Check out our website to learn more about the space and the awesome stuff that goes on there! www.theyardsrochester.com

Q. Can I bring a friend with me to my appointment?

A. Currently with COVID-19 still a risk I would prefer you don’t bring a guest with you! Normally I don’t mind if you bring a friend if you need support, but please just ONE other person :)

Q: Is getting tattooed safe?

A: I take great care to keep my clients safe and healthy. I use single-use equipment when appropriate and everything else gets cleaned with hospital grade sterilants. I use Eternal and Allegory inks, which are vegan and produced with high standards of safety and sterilization.

Q. Can I go to the gym after getting tattooed?

A. Sweating profusely could negatively effect the healing process of your tattoo, and contact with equipment other people are using could be an infection risk. Plan to take a couple days off or do some chill yoga!
