TATTOO

Karrah Henahan-Teague (she/they) has been tattooing for over a decade, living in Rochester, NY for the majority of their career. She particularly leans towards abstract/decorative work, or nature-inspired images. She is open to collaborating on any idea that fits her artistic style, weather in color or black and gray. Currently working out of a private studio at the Rochester Public Market, in The Yards collective art space, she enjoys the company of many artists of different mediums. The studio is open to the public Saturdays during market hours, but the best way to contact Karrah about tattoo work is though email. Send a message to kmh.teague@gmail.com with a detailed description of your idea. (see Tattoo FAQ’s for more info)

PAINTING

Karrah works in acrylic, spray-paint, oil crayon, or whatever strikes them at the time. Her paintings are inspired by a mix of instant photos she takes and treasures she collects that fill her studio, along with partially remembered dreams and probably false memories. Her tendency is to work quickly and their most successful pieces don’t come from a lot of planning, but flow from the brain directly. This also leads to many many failures, which leads to many blacked-out canvases, so the work evolves in kind of a Darwinian survival-of-the fittest direction.

Karrah currently resides in Rochester, NY, with her husband Brandon and their perfect cat Chonk. They like to garden, cook, play MTG and travel, and both play in the bands Fuzzrod and Natural Habitat.
